My first blog!

          "Why is it that there are no Goolge Maps API examples which show India specific data?"...This question kept bothering me all through my learning phase. I always thought why aren't there any examples that use a map which shows Indian locations.

Anybody who is new to Google Maps API application development would love to see a location that he knows of on the map! This is what I longed for all the way through and now have decided to put up simple examples and other supporting data for building customised simple Google Maps and all will show locations in India!

When starting something new, if one finds something familiar out there, then it gives a feeling of comfort! And this is what I will try to provide to all those out there who are facing a similar problem that I faced!

I am not an expert at Google Maps API, I am learning too...But, I will like to help out people along the way! So, all comments from the novice to the professionals are welcome!

    Now that's a wonderful initiation buddy! That is adding on to the interest as to what unfolds next..
    but just one simple suggestion..do re-read whatever u have written before submitting...it makes sure that ur write-up is grammatically flawless!!

    Hey wat u wrote is exactly the same which i always think of......tht y dnt v find the Indian regional locations on Maps.......

    I hv seen ur work...u showed me ur GIS project in clg.....

    Can i ask u something??

    I suggest y dnt u try for such application..I kno wat ever m saying in something very much complicated.....bt its possible....correct ....

    So i would b curious to kno ur views on this....!!!!!

Reverse Geocoding

    The term geocoding generally refers to translating a human-readable address into a location on the map. The process of doing the converse, translating a location on the map into a human-readable address, is known as reverse geocoding. You can read more about geocoding here .     The Geocoder in Google Maps API v3, supports reverse geocoding directly. While geocoding, we supply a textual address and that gets mapped as a location on the map.
